I was born in a country abounded in stories which date from remote times.
Laos has known its rise about the XII° century from the arrival of Thaïs coming from the south of China.
It is between the XVI° and XVII° centuries that the Buddhism in Laos knew its apogee.
Vientiane, my birth city has been the capital since 1520.
In 1778, Vientiane belonged to the kingdom of Thaïs.
Laos remained under control of Siam (Thailand) until the XIX° century.
In 1893, Siam signed with the Consulate the treaty recognizing protectorate of France upon Laos. Since 1899, Laos belongs from now on to the Indochinese-French Union.
Under Japanese influence during the Second World War, independence of Laos is proclaimed on April 8th 1945.
But the communist rebellion persisted until year 1975. This war provoked exile of thousand people including my family.
Today, Laos is still one of the poorest countries in the world (an income of about 300 dollars per habitant).
Arrived in France when I was 2 years old, I went to school like the other children of my age.
When I was 23 years old, I travelled for the first time to Italy. I met a professional masseur that taught me his own therapeutics methods.
In 1998, I travelled to Australia. There, somebody proposed me to study alternative medicine through Bach flowers remedies.
Edward Bach (1886-1936), a British doctor, pointed out in 1928 the healing through flowers, « floritherapy », proceed close to homeopathy (“solar maceration method» or «ebullition method»).
Flower Remedies treat emotional states and psychological imbalance.
But my curiosity increased ; I wanted to understand how Doctor Bach got this ability to discover the virtue of each plant.
Back to France , I decided to study medicinal plants.
During a journey in Austria in February 2003, Paul P., near thirty asked me for a treatment. I studied his general state : emotional state (bad-being often begins from emotional imbalance), nutrition (bad nutrition influences general state) and physical appearance (observing a person through his behaviour because reaction betrays the spirit).
I continued the treatment with a massage on the level of the calves and the feet.
When my hands reached his foot plant, the young man moaned for pain.
I did not understand his reaction, so I decided to make deep studies about the foot. This specialization has for name “foot reflexology ».
Today, after long studies in nervous system and foot reflex points and my knowledge in matter of plants, I am glad to be a therapist.
My acknowledgements go to those who taught me, encouraged me and comforted me.
A special acknowledgement to Kheng K, to Marc T and my incessant admiration for Pierre F.
